boho easter baskets

Hello, friends!

Easter is quickly approaching, and with baby #3 due in five weeks (eek!) I wanted to get a head start on holiday planning for the girls. Easter is one of my favorite holidays, and I love putting thought and design into my kids’ baskets each year!

As you can probably tell, I’m on a bit of a boho kick these days :D. I’m loving warm neutrals, lots of textures and everything rattan! In fact, I was going to buy some cute rattan baskets for the girls, but we already had these ones in the garage and I figured I shouldn’t waste them. Maybe next year! :)

When it comes to holiday gifts, I always start with a couple of main items that I want to build things around. This Easter, I found these adorable bunny mini backpacks! The fawn colored one is my favorite, and I love that they’re Easter-y without being so holiday-specific that they can’t be used year-round. Just darling!

I always include a book when I make holiday baskets, and these ones I found are so sweet and have the prettiest illustrations! Pro tip: find a few book options by searching online and then check them out from your local library before purchasing. Sometimes a book I see online has a super cute cover, but once I read it I find the actual story lacking (womp womp). So if you’re like me and love collecting books that your kids will read again and again, utilize that library card and give them a test run first!

The butterfly notebooks were a lucky find at Home Goods (LOVE that place), as were the cute little bunny ear spa headbands. Oh, and the jars! They actually came with the bunnies on top, but they were a lavender color so I just painted them ivory with craft paint and filled them with chocolate eggs. And the pencil pouches are from Dollar Tree (score!) My advice with little items like these is to start planning early and just be on the lookout when you’re out and about. Once I have an overall aesthetic in mind and have purchased the main items, I always come across things as I shop to add.

Evi’s sweet bunny stuffy is made by JellyCat, which is by far my favorite stuffed animal brand. They must use some sort of fairy magic to create the fabric for their stuffies because they are SO soft! We have collected several JellyCat treasures over the years, and this blossom bunny will be a sweet addition :). You can find JellyCat items on Amazon or directly through JellyCat’s website here.

I found Leah’s bunny at Target and it is also darling! Other Target finds include these glass water bottles, white chocolate Lindt bunnies, and these gorgeous satin-y pony scarves that doubled as basket decorations!

In lieu of plastic Easter grass, which is always a HUGE mess (not to mention terrible for the environment), I stuffed the bottom of the baskets with leftover packing paper from an Amazon package and cute fabric tote bags from the dollar section at Target. So quick and easy!

The giant golden eggs are from my local Fred Meyer grocery store, and inside I put a cute little mini-stuffed animal for each of the girls. Obviously, you could fill them with anything—my kids just happen to be big fans of stuffed animals! I also snuck a few little candies and Calico Critter grab bag toys into the bunny backpacks as an extra surprise. Because who doesn’t love presents within presents?? :)

Well that’s all for today, friends! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you’ve found a little inspiration for your own Easter celebration! Happy springtime to you and yours!
