Gingerbread Cookies

The holidays are here, and that means aalll the holiday baking!

I know sugar cookies are the go-to when it comes to cut out cookies, but I had some leftover dough after making gingerbread houses for the kids and it made the prettiest cookies! I love the contrast of white icing with the rich gingerbread color, and these cookies held their shape well while baking.

To decorate, I used a classic royal icing recipe with powdered sugar and milk. Easy peasy!
